As of today, Lilura is in full swing after her adventures with the pirates. She had set sail with an all male crew. After about a year with the pirates she developed a high fever, ill from a virus she had gotten at their last stop.
While she was sweating out her fever one of the crew discovered her. He promised to keep her secret, but the next one in the room was no so forgiving. He told the captain. She was beaten and tortured until she shifted to her pheonix form and burned the ship down. She saved only the one who had kept her secret.
The island that they came to was populated with feral humans. She herself took to a child whose mother had been killed. She took the toddler in, but couldn't teach her a known language. She still loves Liberty Dawn like a mother.
She thinks of Liberty as the sister that she cannot give her son.
She returned home nearly three years after she first departed.
